Dudley Quinlivan has developed courses and literacy systems to educate adults and children who speak English as their primary language and also those who learn it as a secondary language. Besides these courses, Dudley Quinlivan is also an active member and supporter of many welfare groups such a Surf Life Saving Queensland.

Australia is one of the most favorable surfing destinations in the world. Yet, as the popularity of this sport was rising with the rise of 20th century, the number of drowning and other unfortunate incidents related to it were also escalating. This was when a group of individual decided to make it a safer sport before it is completely abandoned.
Surf Life Saving collects funds in order to get safer life saving equipments and train the volunteer life savers. There are a total of 59 clubs across Queensland and more than 300 around Australia. Since, not everyone has the time and honor to save a life like those brave rescue members do, people like Dudley Quinlivan contribute to the cause by donating funds to this organization. Together the Surf Life Saving Staff and contributors like Dudley Quinlivan have saved about 500,000 up till now.
